TOUR - Once - NonEq - CU - wide - 6/15

Indianapolis theatergoers will walk the streets of Dublin as the romantic musical Once opens on February 9. The Tony-winning tuner, based on the 2007 award-winning film, will play Clowes Memorial Hall through February 14.

Featuring an ensemble of actors who play their own instruments on stage, Once tells the story of a Dublin street musician who's about to give up on his dream when a beautiful young woman takes a sudden interest in his haunting love songs. As the chemistry between them grows, his music soars to powerful new heights, but their unlikely connection turns out to be deeper and more complex than your everyday romance.

Once features a score by the movie’s stars and Academy Award-winning composers for “Falling Slowly,” Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova. The production, which is directed by John Tiffany, premiered at New York Theatre Workshop before opening at Broadway’s Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre on March 18, 2012. The show won eight Tony Awards, including honors for Tiffany, as well as Enda Walsh for his book for the romantic musical.
