Broadway Buzz: Music Legends Galore Get Into the Groove at Motown: The Musical’s Broadway Opening Night

Dozens of music icons hit the red carpet outside the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre to celebrate the much-anticipated Broadway opening night of Motown: The Musical, the brand new tuner that charts the story of Motown founder Berry Gordy and the birth of the sound that changed the nation. Gordy himself scripted the musical, so it was no surprise that a multitude of legends—including Diana Ross, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder and Gladys Knight—showed up to lend their support on opening night. The show’s stars Valisia LeKae and Brandon Victor Dixon looked like a million dollars, as did the rest of the cast and creative team of this explosive new Broadway show.
