Fiddler on the Roof - National Tour

The musical that raises its cup to joy! To love! To life!

Fiddler on the Roof Will Play Indianapolis in March

The national tour of Fiddler on the Roof is coming to Indianapolis. The classic musical will open on March 6 at the Murat Theatre at the Old National Centre and close on March 11.

Based on the stories of Sholom Aleichem, Fiddler on the Roof takes place in Anatevka, a village in Tsarist Russia during the eve of the revolution. Tevye is a poor milkman who cares for his five daughters. While he and the rest of the elders in the village are deeply routed in tradition, his daughters’ forward thinking clashes with Tevye’s principles and causes a rift in the family. The score by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick features the songs “Matchmaker, Matchmaker,” “If I Were A Rich Man” and “Sunrise, Sunset.”

The show stars Jonathan Preece as Tevye, Pamela D. Chabora as Golde, Brooke Hills as Tzeitel, Sarah Sesler as Hodel, Chelsey LeBel as Chava, Andrew Boza as Motel, Barbi McGuire as Yente, Joshua Phan-Gruber as Perchik, Michael Shultz as Fyedka and David B. Springstead as Lazar Wolf.
